Applied Behavior Analysis

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior. ABA requires the implementation of established principles of learning, behavioral strategies, and environmental modifications to improve and teach new behaviors. The ultimate goal of ABA is to establish and enhance academic, social, communication, and daily living skills.

ABA is a huge part of Works of Wonder Therapy. It has transformed our personal and professional lives in countless ways. We love the fact that ABA is effective and individualized.  Our favorite aspect of ABA is positive reinforcement. The implementation of a few ABA principles quickly transforms any environment from negative to positive.

Unfortunately, our ABA program has an extremely long waiting list.  Because of this, we encourage you to enroll your child on every ABA waiting list in your area.  Once enrolled in our program, your child will attend every weekday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.  To ensure that the therapy is successful, we expect parents to engage in weekly parent training sessions.  These sessions may take place at the clinic or in your home.  We want to help parents understand that their role in this therapeutic process is vital.  For optimum results, what we do in therapy must be reinforced in every setting.

We are all unique.

We are passionate about helping families make the best of their special needs situation, and we strive to provide the highest quality services to make sure that everyone’s needs are met. We believe that when families have the right support and resources, it can make a world of difference in their lives. That’s why we are proud to be the go-to resource for families of children with special needs, and we look forward to continuing to serve the community for many years to come.

We are here to help you every step of the way and ensure that your child can reach their full potential.
